Getting going – the easy way.
I know there is a lot in the box and that’s because I really wanted to give you all you need to lose weight and enjoy being slimmer, happier and healthier. You really do have all you need but most of the questions I get asked are about where you should start. There is so much good stuff in the box that it can feel a little overwhelming, so, here’s the quick start guide to what you need to do to get yourself going and find yourself losing weight before you know it.
Are you emotional or physical?
The first step to effortless weight loss is becoming aware of when you are eating to satisfy a physical hunger (which is good) and when you are eating because you are emotionally hungry or want to change the way you feel (which is bad). Take a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle, on one side write ‘physical hunger’ and on the other ‘emotional hunger’ now, for the next few days every time you think about eating just put and mark on the appropriate side. It will amaze you the number of times you emotionally eat, even if you think you don’t. You might also like to check out some of the other articles here on the site in the ‘slim’ and then ‘relationship with food section.
Awareness into action
Now that you are aware of when and just how often you emotionally eat you can do something about it. But often you don’t even have to, there is something powerful about recognizing that the urge is just a thought in your head that means it loses its power. A thought only has the power you give it. I know you’ll enjoy Michael Neill’s video ‘The principle of thought’ you’ll find it at Healthy > Inner Wisdom > The Principle of Thought .
The secret art of ‘Just Sitting’
To re-program your relationship with food, find a quiet place, close your eyes and just allow thoughts to come to mind, acknowledge them and then just let them go. Don’t think of anything consciously, this is not the time for your ‘To-Do’ list. Just allow thoughts to come to mind and let them go. Do this for 15 mins every day and you’ll notice that you don’t feel compelled to react to your thinking. No more cravings or emergency bars of chocolate. Just sit and re-set your relationship with food. Of course you’ll find much more on this founding principle in “The Slim Girl’s Book of Secrets’ it begins on page 51Try it; it’s spooky the way it works… oh please do read the rest of the book too and enjoy working your way through it.
The Slim Girl’s Key Secrets CD
This really is your secret weapon, please do use it every day at first to really kick start your journey. The CD is specifically designed to reprogram your subconscious so that you lose weight easily and even while you are sleeping. If that sounds too good to be true you’re in for a nice surprise, it’s only a little over 25 mins long but SO powerful. You might find that after using it you don’t necessarily know why you just don’t want to eat the ‘must have food’ or why you feel like you have more energy and feel less stress… you just do. Enjoy it and just allow it to be easy.
Time-
Ok I know what you’re thinking… ‘That’s all very well and sounds great, but have you seen my life? How do I fit that in with ALL the other things I MUST do in any given day…’ Well, despite what you might be telling yourself you are not that different to all the other busy women who have lost weight easily using this method. Sorry to be so blunt but it’s true, people from all walks of life and yes even people with young children and a demanding career have lost lots of weight easily and you can to… BUT… You will have to do things differently and make some different choices. They don’t have to be hard, just different. You WILL need to make a little time for yourself (don’t worry I’ll show you how in the ‘time to be thin section) and you might need to approach relationships differently (again don’t worry just check out ‘dealing with stress’ and also ‘relationships’ in the healthy section) but we’re here to support YOU all the way.
