As your wardrobe adviser or "shopping friend", you can look forward to your new look and shopping trip with confidence. My goal is to make you look and feel fabulous and ensure your wardrobe is well co-ordinated and contains superior quality clothes and accessories. My promise to you is to make this whole adventure fun.
Are you the kind of person who watches the catwalks religiously and spends lots of money on what’s hot this season? Do you wear all your purchases or may I say investments. Your wardrobe is a reflection of who you are. However, if you spend lots on all those little catwalk numbers they are only going to be of any value to you if you wear them all. That Armani blouse, those Gucci shoes, even that Stella McCartney dress will only look great on you if you know what suits you.
Here are a few enhancing and minimising style tips to assist you on your next shopping adventure and always remember good grooming cannot be over emphasised here ladies. Don’t forget the detail such as nails on hands and feet, make up, hair & accessories.
Enhance your cheekbones
Adding colour to the cheeks will define your cheekbones and assist in creating a natural healthy glow. The rule of thumb being never have the blusher closer than two fingers width from the nose or below the nose height.
Oval: Feel for your cheekbone then place blusher in line with the centre of the eye and blend upward towards the temple.
Round, square & pear: start slightly nearer to the nose and blend upwards stopping just before the hairline to create the illusion of cheekbones.
Oblong, diamond, inverted triangle & heart: to create the illusion of width by blending colour upwards and outwards stopping at the hairline.
Lots of lashes
Lots of us pump our mascara brush up and down the tube to get more on the brush, however ladies this will just cause the mascara to dry out and cause lumps.
Remember for yellow undertones use brown / black and blue undertones use black. Apply underneath and on top of upper lashes from base to tip then using the tip of the brush gently apply to the bottom lashes using back and forth motion.
Luscious Lippy
Thin lips need some volume. To create this look apply pencil around the outside line of the lips softly then fill the inside with a colour to match using a brush for a better finish.
Medium lips just need to coloured by outlining with a pencil then filling in with a matching shade by using a brush
For fuller lips, line the inside of the lips with pencil then apply a matching shade with a brush.
Tempting Smile
Dare I say it? Have you ever been attracted to someone then when got a bit closer noticed the decaying row of condemned teeth filled with well I think you get the picture. Why spend money, time, effort and pride in how you look if you miss out one of the most important details. Your teeth. Get a check up every 6 months and brush twice a day. Its that simple.
