Alba doesn’t believe in ‘sweating it out’ in the gym, but everybody knows that moderate exercise is good for you, will help you lose weight more quickly and tone you up. Alba has some clever techniques and moves which, if you want to, you can do at home using ordinary everyday items and that fit around a busy lifestyle.
Before exercising your body needs energy to enable you to put a really good effort into your workout. Keep your snack light before exercising as a big meal will make you feel tired and sluggish. After exercising your body needs nutrition to begin recovering and replenishing. Here are some example of what you should and shouldn't eat to really boost the benefits of your workout.
Good stuff to eat:
- Fresh or dried fruit.
- Nuts
- Wholegrain nut/seed cereal bars. These can provide your body with carbohydrates which will help to keep you going after your workout.
Not so good stuff to eat:
- Chocolate bars will have you feeling worse rather than great after all your hard work.
- Crisps. These are a really poor snack because they are also very low in protein.
- Muffins or Cakes will have similar effects to chocolate bars both of these types of food will be detrimental to your all your efforts and won't enhance the effects of your workout only make you feel worse.
