Don't assume that scales are the best way of monitoring your efforts to lose weight. If you are exercising quite a bit, you may be putting on muscle but losing fat, which means you're actually losing inches. Go by your clothes and how you're feeling or you could take some measurements of your chest, waist and hips and re do these after a few weeks to see how your doing....

We all seem to measure how well we're doing when embarking upon a healthy eating and exercise regime by how much weight we've lost. Most of us will weigh ourselves everyday just to see how we're doing. Let me make this tip very very clear… Unless they’re gold plated and cost you an absolute fortune, throw your scales away! In my experience of working with weight loss clients, there is nothing that trips people up faster and more regularly than a set of scales… in my book they should come with a mental health warning.
